Interactive Reconciliation Timeline

Despite Republican suggestions to the contrary, reconciliation has been used in the Senate by both parties for almost 30 years. Since it was first used in 1980, 19 bills have been signed into law. Of those bills, 14 were signed by Republican presidents and five by Democratic presidents.
