Chairman Crowley Statement on Congressional Resolution of Disapproval to Overrule FCC Net Neutrality Ruling

December 19, 2017

(Washington, D.C.) — House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley (D-NY) issued the following statement after co-sponsoring legislation that would reverse the Federal Communications Commission’s decision to repeal net neutrality rules:

“A free and open internet is vital to American ingenuity. The partisan decision by President Trump’s FCC chairman and the commission’s Republicans to undo net neutrality rules will hurt American consumers, small businesses, and our country’s ability to innovate and advance new technologies. I’m proud to support Congressman Doyle’s effort to stop President Trump’s FCC and ensure net neutrality and fairness is what governs our internet.”
