October 13, 2017

(Washington, D.C.) – House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley (D-NY) and Vice Chair Linda Sánchez (D-CA) launched today @DemsEspañol, the House Democrats’ Spanish-language Twitter account. The social media channel will provide the latest news from the Democratic Caucus and will share updates from House Democrats in Spanish.

“House Democrats understand that Latinos want to hear directly from lawmakers on how we are protecting DREAMers and expanding access to quality and affordable health care, education, and good-paying jobs,” saidChairman Crowley. “Expanding our social media presence to include a Spanish-language Twitter account was a natural step for House Democrats as we look for new opportunities to engage with communities across America. The @DemsEspañol account will give us the opportunity to share our work, values, and vision for the country with millions of Spanish-speaking constituents.”

“The House Democratic Caucus is expanding its reach to millions of Americans with the launch of the @DemsEspañol Twitter account. This account allows the Democratic message to be more accessible to Spanish-speakers,” said Vice Chair Sánchez. “The Democratic Caucus is fighting for working families across our country. @DemsEspañol allows our caucus to connect Spanish-speakers to the work we are doing in Congress. This will help us better engage with all corners of our country.”
