Chairman Xavier Becerra Announces Interactive Immigration Timeline On Do-Nothing House GOP

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Xavier Becerra (CA-34), Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, released the following statement announcing a new tool on to hold House Republicans accountable for their refusal to take action and put common sense immigration reform on the floor for a vote:

“No more excuses. No more flip-flopping. After 336 days since the Senate did its job, it’s time for House Republicans to do their job and let us vote to finally fix the broken immigration system. The time is now.”

The Visual History of Republican Inaction on Immigration Reform is a comprehensive interactive timeline that documents key dates over the last four years — from when House Democrats passed the DREAM Act in 2010 to the latest excuse for inaction from House Republican leaders in 2014.

Two months ago, House Democrats launched a discharge petition to demand a vote on immigration reform. To date, thousands of Americans have added their name to the list at in support of the House finally taking action to fix the broken immigration system.
