House Democratic Caucus Launches New Website
Washington, DC – The House Democratic Caucus announces the launch of its new website, www.dems.gov. The site will highlight the hard work and ideas of the Members of the Democratic Caucus.
“This Caucus is working every single day to turn our economy around and put Americans back to work – and we are doing it in a transparent and accessible way,” said Congressman John B. Larson (CT-01), Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus. “Now, anyone with access to the internet can log on to our new site and get an inside perspective on the legislation House Democrats are working to pass.”
The site features what Democrats are saying each day, by issue and about major legislation. For the first time, visitors will be able to easily find quotes from Members on the topics and legislation they care about most. The site also features major legislation passed by Democrats and summaries of upcoming bills. In addition, the public can find House Democrats’ official websites, YouTube channels, and Facebook pages using an interactive directory.
The “Featured Member” section of the site spotlights the unique stories and perspectives of our Members. The current “Featured Member” is John D. Dingell – the longest-serving Member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Visit www.dems.gov to see an emotional video of Congressman Dingell telling the story of his fathers’ and his own service in the House.
The site will be regularly updated with original content such as videos, blog posts, and news releases. It also features a section where visitors can learn more about the important role and history of the House Democratic Caucus.
“Speaker Nancy Pelosi often says that our Caucus is the most diverse and talented she has ever seen,” said Larson. “This site will serve as a clearinghouse for information about our active, diverse membership and an important resource for all of our users.”
