Larson Calls for Quick Action on Transportation Bill
July 8, 2009
Washington, DC – Congressman John B. Larson (CT-01), Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, announced today that he is working with Chairman James Oberstar of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to help move key Transportation Authorization Legislation forward in the House of Representatives.
Larson said, “This legislation is vital to creating jobs and rebuilding our neglected infrastructure. It is incredibly important that we move quickly to take up and pass this bill that will create a blueprint for America’s transportation and infrastructure of the future. The legislation has the potential to drive job creation across the country, and encourage important innovation to rebuild our economy and our crumbling infrastructure. I look forward to working with Chairman Oberstar to bring his visionary bill to the floor.”
