Larson Statement On Congressman Charlie Gonzalez

Washington, D.C. — House Democratic Caucus Chairman John B. Larson (CT) released the following statement today on the announcement by Congressman Charlie Gonzalez (TX) that he will not run for reelection next year:

“Like his father before him, Charlie Gonzalez dedicated himself to making this a better nation for his constituents in San Antonio and Americans across the country. Charlie’s passionate voice and congenial manner lent themselves to public service and getting the job done, and as a fellow classmate and good friend, Charlie made our institution better for having served and carried forward the legacy his father started.

“He will be sorely missed.”
