Larson Statement on Retirement of Rules Committee Chairman David Dreier
February 29, 2012
WASHINGTON –House Democratic Caucus Chairman John B. Larson (CT) released the following statement today after House Rules Committee Chairman David Dreier (R-CA) announced he will not run for reelection:
“David Dreier has spent over thirty years representing the state of California and his constituents in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is both a fierce adversary and a good ally on a broad range of subjects. He has always been a good friend with an insightful perspective.
“From his Parliamentary Bootcamps for his colleagues, to his work with David Price teaching democracy around the world, David has shown a commitment to this institution and the ideals it represents that will be sorely missed.”
