Larson Statement on the Retirement of Congressman Heath Shuler

WASHINGTON –House Democratic Caucus Chairman John B. Larson (CT) released the following statement on the decision by Congressman Heath Shuler (D-NC) to not seek reelection this year:

“From his tireless representation of his North Carolina constituents to his leadership of the Blue Dog coalition, Heath has been a terrific Member and a strong voice for our economy and the entrepreneurs that help make our nation great.

He brought a perspective to Congress that helped make the Caucus, and the nation a better place. So I’m sorry to see him go, but I wish him and his beautiful family all the best.
