WASHINGTON – House Democratic Caucus Chairman John Larson (CT) released the following statement on the Department of Labor’s August employment report. The U.S. economy added 96,000 jobs, including 103,000 private sector jobs. The unemployment rate shrank to 8.1 percent:
“This past week Americans have been provided with a clear choice between continued action to boost growth and economic prosperity or returning to the failed policies that landed us in this crisis in the first place.
