Medicare / Medicaid Birthday Party

To celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid, the Democratic Caucus Seniors Task Force held a birthday party to reaffirm their support for preserving and strengthening these bedrock programs.

White House Hosts Seniors Tele-Town Hall

President Obama is hosting a tele-town hall on Tuesday, June 8th to talk directly to America's seniors about what health care reform will mean for them. Join President Obama and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius as they discuss the first mailing of the $250 "donut hole" rebate checks, efforts to combat consumer scams, and other ways that the Affordable Care Act will help America's seniors.

Seniors Economic Roundtable

On May 26 the Seniors Task Force hosted our first roundtable on Seniors and the Economy. Collaborating with advocacy organizations and think tanks, the roundtable provided an opportunity to present ideas on how to improve our outreach to and policies for aging Americans.
