Increased Funding for Veterans

Democrats voted to increase funding for veterans medical care in the Fiscal Year 2010 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill. For the first time, this bill also included advanced appropriations funding for fiscal year 2011 to provide reliable and timely funding for veterans medical care. This year’s budget increase is on top of the unprecedented increase of $17.7 billion provided over the last two years. (Passed by the House)
