The House Democratic Caucus offers full-time internships each Academic quarter.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) supporting the Operations team in preparing Caucus events, answering phones, providing constituency outreach support to Democratic Members of Congress and their staff, conducting research, extracting and formatting large quantities of data, writing detailed memos, attending relevant briefings and meetings, and assisting with team projects.

Applicants should be motivated, detail-oriented, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to problem solve and multi-task. Experience or interest in social media is a plus. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Eligibility: The House Democratic Caucus seeks full-time interns, only. Applicants must be either college/graduate students receiving academic credit or Congressional internship/fellowship program participants.

The House Democratic Caucus offers full-time digital internships supporting its communications department. Ideal candidates will be hard-working and highly motivated collegiate juniors/seniors or recent graduates with a demonstrated interest in social media, graphic design, and video editing.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: producing and editing videos, updating web pages, assisting with social media/live production, creating infographics, photographing events and other relevant tasks in support of the communications team. Applicants should possess excellent writing skills, have an interest in political/government communications, and be able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

The House Democratic Caucus offers full-time press internships supporting its communications department. Successful applicants will be energetic, highly motivated and have a demonstrated interest in press and political communications. 

Interns will be directly engaged with Caucus press work and will perform a variety of essential duties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with press clips, building out press contact lists, drafting media advisories and press releases, transcribing interviews and supporting other team projects as necessary. Applicants should be self-starters, motivated, detail-oriented, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to problem solve and multitask. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus as well as experience in press operations and the congressional process.

Eligibility: All undergraduate-level students as well as recent graduates are eligible to apply.
